Wain Medical Center

Through our well-equipped dispensary, advanced scan machines, free doctor check-ups, and prescribed medicines for all, we’re breaking barriers and healing hearts through love and care.

More than 40 percent of Pakistan’s children below 5 are suffering from stunted growth, which has long term implications for a child’s mental and physical development. Health indicators on maternal, child and infant mortality, immunization, doctor to population ratio, hospital to population ratio etc. are far below the acceptable standards.

Public sector health facilities, especially BHUs and THQs, are generally inadequate. In underprivileged areas they are practically nonexistent. Absence of proper medical facilities gives rise to quackery and the associated medical complications. In its modest effort to supplement the efforts of the government, the Wain Foundation has established a free clinic/dispensary in the village Kahna Kacha at the outskirts of Lahore. The clinic is equipped with excellent ECG and ultrasound scan machines and other equipment needed for diagnostic purposes. It has a staff comprising a medical doctor, nurses, LHV, phlebotomist, pharmacist, etc. About 65 to 70 patients are attended to daily and prescribed medicines are provided free of charge. Samples are also collected for laboratory tests. The clinic has an excellent referral system for patients requiring specialized or surgical care. A government-approved immunization center is expected to be set up in the near future. In addition to medical services the clinic serves as a focal point for social awareness campaigns on health-related issues including population welfare and preventive care. Free Medical services and medicines are also provided to the community in the vicinity of our free school.

    Helping the ones in need!

Working in high-end hospitals has never quenched my thirst for being able bring change in the society, but now that I am working for Wain Foundation, I feel so satisfied that my pledge is put in utilization in helping the ones in need.

  • Incredibly caring and supportive!

I was diagnosed with diabetes and felt really down because I couldn’t afford the medicines and regular check-ups. I heard about this healthcare facility and decided to visit to see if they could help. The dispensary and the staff there are incredibly caring and supportive. They prioritise and care for every patient, providing them with the necessary medicines.

  • Collaboratively find solutions!

My startup focuses on improving English language proficiency for competitive exams such as CSS and PMS. When I joined this incubation center, I initially expected to work on my project alone. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that we operate as a community here, with people coming together to discuss various issues and collaboratively find solutions.

    Education is every child’s right!

I believe that education is every child’s right regardless of gender. I am a daily wager and for me to put food on the table and bear any medical expense is more than what I can afford. The Wain Foundation gave us this opportunity otherwise it was almost impossible to send my children to school.

  • Engaging the global target audience!

My startup is about creating and selling NFTs, and a notable challenge I faced was that my target audience is not limited to local areas but extends internationally. Initially, I lacked the knowledge on how to reach and explore this global market. However, the trainers and mentors played a vital role in guiding me to devise effective strategies for reaching and engaging the global target audience.
