About Waheed Wain
Abdul Waheed Wain was a self-made leading businessman of Sargodha. Born on 14 august 1928, he spent his early years in Bhopal, where his father worked as a Legal Counsel. His father’s death in 1946 and migration to Pakistan after partition, were life transforming events for him.

Almost 64% of Pakistan’s population is below 30 years and of this 29% is between the ages of15 to 29. This youth bulge is one of the biggest in the world. In a rapidly aging population globally, our youthful population is an asset. However, with high unemployment amongst the educated youth, a lack of competitive edge in skills and an alarming incidence of stunted growth in our children, this very asset can easily become a liability.
The Wain Foundation and the i2c Inc., itself a youth dominated company, are committed to channelizing energies of the youth towards constructive and productive activities. They are convinced that our youth has the potential to be agents of change and self-reliance in Pakistan. Pakistan has an impressive pool of talented youth in Pakistan who are looking for opportunities and facilities to transform their innovative ideas into successful enterprises. The Wain Foundation in collaboration with the University of Sargodha has established Waheed Wain Incubation Center with state-of-the-art facilities aimed at stimulating spirit of entrepreneurship, giving free rein to innovation, and unleashing forward looking ideas to nurture successful businesses. The WWIC is a pioneering collaborative effort between a private sector company and public sector university. The incubation center opens doors of opportunities for young entrepreneurs by providing a platform where new ideas can blossom, through dedicated coaching, professional mentorship, and commercialization support. It also offers networking opportunities, access to potential investors and venture capitalists and help in scaling up startups. The WWIC basically seeks to help young entrepreneurs in transforming their dreams into reality.
